Born in Monroe, North Carolina, Marcia moved to Georgia when she was a teenager. During this time, her mother signed her up for art classes from a local artist in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This started her love for oil painting. While working in the medical field and starting a family, there wasn’t enough time to continue painting. Later, she enrolled in art lessons with Leslie Marks, an artist in Social Circle, Georgia where she studied for several years. Five years ago, she and her husband bought a vacation home in north McIntosh County. It was at this time that Marcia started to really enjoy the beautiful area and painting the wonderful scenery. Both she and her husband have grown to love this area so much that they plan to make their home…
